ISLAMABAD: Oct 07,2017-Mayor of Islamabad Sheikh Ansar aziz inaugurated the new 8 acre park at khayaban e suharwardy. Mayor joined the hands with local hotel CEO Aziz Boolani. The 8 acre park and 610 meter walking track with beautiful fountain is adjacent to the local hotel. In the ceremony the various diplomats and foreign dignitaries were also present there and they planted the tress in the park.
At that occasion mayor of Islamabad Sheikh Ansar Azaiz said that ‘’ he is very happy to see that multi international stack holders are taking interest in Islamabad development and betterment’’. He added that capital development authority (CDA) was started the green Islamabad program a year ago and we was offered to business community to take part on this and we got very good response from them.
Mayor of Islamabad further added that ‘’ the green office initiative includes water conservation, energy conservation, ( use of LEDs), enhanced waste management practice, regular tree plantation, celebration of environment days and adoption of economic friendly purchase policies.
In the event the CEO of local hotel Aziz Boolani described his vows on that and said that ‘’ we are strongly believe that it is not enough as a company and individuals to simply avoid harming the environment. We must all come together to play an active role to protect the environment and conserve natural resources. This park is a project close to my heart in a time when climate change is ravaging the world. The sapling we have planted in the past and the ones we plant today will become trees that will provide oxygen for our children in the future, improve air quality conserve water, preserve the soil and create a space for birds for flourish in the heart of Islamabad.
In the ceremony the foreign dignitaries express his views that recent world have facing big climate changes in environment and for make better and healthy nation and country this kind of events is good and the government and people need that make clean and green Pakistan.
